How many hours do I need to get my Nevada Real Estate License?

90 hours of education are required to obtain a Nevada Real Estate License. This includes at home studies and/or in class studies. Real Estate School of Nevada offers 2 Correspondence Course Options.

  • 90 Hour Principles, Practices & Ethics  –  The 90 hour Principles, Practices and Ethics course is designed for anyone who is seeking a real estate salespersons license. Course includes 30 hours of live instruction and 60 hours of Correspondence. All materials are provided for course studies to complete the course and head for the PSI Nevada Real Estate Exam.   • Correspondence – At Home Study Course – Get your Nevada Real Estate License by studying in the convenience of your own home with your computer!  Watch your Nevada Real Estate classes (in your pj’s if you so desire)! This course is for individuals who wish to obtain a Nevada real estate salesman license. It is the 90 hour pre-license course Nevada require. Internet Special available
What is the Nevada Real Estate Licensee test like?
The Nevada Real Estate Exam is comprised of 120 multiple choice questions. It contains 80 questions on principles and ethics and 40 questions on Nevada Law. 75% is the minimum on EACH portion to pass.
How can I study for the test?
There are many books available, audio CD’s and DVD’s and Crash Courses. The Real Estate School of Nevada offers a CRAM COURSE ”Crash study Weekend” you can take just before testing for your Nevada Real Estate License.
Can I take the class at home?
Homes study courses are available. We have found that students learn better and obtain the material with a live instructor.  At the Real Estate School of Nevada we offer both to meet everyone’s needs and schedules.
What do I do if I fail one of the tests?
Don’t be discouraged. Review the questions to find out why you missed them. We have found that if you learn the underlying principal of why, you will never miss that question again.
Where do I take the test?
A PSI (Psychological Services Incorporated) testing center. There are four locations in Nevada (two in Las Vegas). The test is given twice a day, every day except Sunday. Call ahead to schedule your test appointment. Nevada Real Estate PSI Details.
How much will the test & License cost?
Plan on around $310.00 for your test and license.
How long does it take before I can test for my license?
You will be ready to take your state exam in as little as 10 days by attending class 3 hours a day and doing the appropriate assignments.
Am I required to join the Board of Realtors?
NO, but your brokerage might. If you choose a specific brokerage that is a “board brokerage”, they may require you to join the board. In addition, you must join the Board of Realtors to use the local MLS (Las Vegas Licensees)
How do I find a Brokerage?
Real Estate School of Nevada offers job placement. Don’t look for a company that promises a particular number of leads and high commissions. Look for a company that has a proven track record. A new Real Estate Agent needs a company that has proven systems, education and tools that generate leads and helps you convert your leads to closed transactions. Choose a company that offers services such as: Name recognition, Training and Mentoring, Broker Support, Tools and Systems such as turn key websites, Staff Support, Professional Facilities and Prime Locations.
How much can I expect to make my first year?
The key is running your practice like a business. Be on the job every day, attend training, and stay motivated. Although agents have earned 6 figures their first year, the average income reported for the first year of practice in Nevada is approximately $48,000.
How do I get started?
Choose your course - Live Instruction or at home study. Sign up HERE on the internet to receive the online special.  Once your payment is received, a career counselor will contact you to arrange your materials and schedules to determine your start date. If you are not comfortable placing a credit card order online, you can use our online application. Do I need to take the classes in order?
No. We strongly suggest you take the Law portion in order. In addition, as many classes as you can take in order, you should. Take the time to read the chapter and take the practice test prior to the course and then again after to test what your memory retained. Repeat the practice tests often to keep the material fresh.  We have specialized books and dvds available for purchase to add to your study materials available at our online Bookstore or at the school.
How long do I have to take the required courses?
You have a full year from date of enrollment to complete your courses.
I took classes at another school, can I carry my credits over?
We can give you options for this.  Send an e-mail to director@realtyschool.com with your school experience and we will create a plan of completion with you.
I need to renew my license – what course do I need?
You need to take the Post Licensing Course with Live Instruction. Enroll online HERE and you will be contacted to pick up your materials. Our monthly schedules are posted online so you can see the course dates. If you only need certain modules, we can help there too. Send an e-mail with your Post Licensing Experience and we can create a completion plan for you. The standard price is $45.00 per module, but the number of modules you need to complete can make a difference in your enrollment.
